The palms of hands and soles of my feet always burn. They have for over 10 years.
I used to sleep on my side, with one hand under my pillow. Roll over, other hand under my pillow. I'd wake up in the middle of the night with my mouth as dry as sandpaper and my teeth feeling like nails. My teeth became loose and I lost both good eyeteeth, before I realized that it was the energy from the palms of my hands knocking my teeth out. I have photographs of twin red marks on the instep of both feet, taken after I hadn't worn shoes for 2 days, so it wasn't from tight shoelaces. I used to go to a big hill of beautiful rock in the forest, and sit there barefoot and pray aloud and love the rock for hours at a time. The first I noticed the red marks on my feet was there. These red marks come and go a few times a year, sometimes more intense than other times.
I went to see a therapist for a year about this issue. His conclusion: stigmata. Some of us volunteer on a soul level.
So I trained myself to sleep with my left hand on my right upper arm, rollover, my right hand on my left upper arm, so I'd always know where my hands were.
After 6 weeks of sleeping thusly, twin burn marks appeared on both of my upper arms. I called a friend who arrived with a camera. I held the local newspaper up with my upper arms exposed, to record the date, and then I held a wooden ruler beside each burn mark, for some close-up shots. The burn marks were almost 2 inches in diameter. I still have the photos.
Where I rest my wrists on my laptop, there are burn marks in the metal in the shape of my wrists. When I sit and watch TV, I play with a towel in order to prevent myself from crossing my arms or having my palms come in contact with the rest of my body somehow.
The upside is that when someone I love that is in pain, if I put my hands on their painful spot and fill that person with love, their pain goes away and doesn't return. Hallelujah.
